Azitus Tab
Composition: Each film coated tablet contains: Azithromycin Dihydrate IP equivalent to Azithromycin 250mg/500mg.

Indications: AECB, Sinusitis, Acute Otitis Media, Community Acquired Pneumonia, Pharyngitis, Tonsilitis, Non-gonococcal Cervicitis & Urethritis, Chancroid, Pelvic inflammatory disease, Uncomplicated Skin and soft tissue infections, Mycobacterial Infections.

Adverse reactions: Headache, body ache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain. Rarely but potentially serious side effects were angioedema and cholestatic jaundice.

Contra-indications: Azithromycinis contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin, erythromycin, any macrolide or ketolide antibiotic

Precautions: Caution should be exercised when prescribing Azithromycin in patients with impaired hepatic function and impaired renal function.

Dosage and administration: Oral 500mg OD x 3 days OR 500 mg as a single dose on Day 1, followed by 250 mg once daily on Days 2 through 5.
